Bowen Therapy is a simple and effective body treatment. As a trained homeopath it is wonderful to offer a body therapy that relates to similar principles. Bowen treatment involves one or more series of moves, and is often referred to as 'the homeopathy of bodywork; as treatment stimulates the vital force to aid healing with minimal intervention'.
Bowen is a holistic body therapy which aids relaxation. The technique addresses the entire body by using a series of moves at specific locations (on muscle, tendon, ligament or nerves). Having stimulated the nervous system the body responds using its own innate healing mechanism restoring balance and harmony.
The moves are gentle but purposeful and can be done through light clothing. Bowen is extremely gentle, appropriate for pregnant mums to newborn babies, the frail and the elderly. It can assist recovery from many conditions, depending upon each individual's ability to heal.

Bach flowers assist the body's innate healing by restoring harmony in awareness, there are 38 flower essences which help restore inner balance and harmony to our personality, moods and emotions. Flower essences are safe (you cannot overdose), gentle and have a profound affect in healing children, teenagers and adults alike with no side effects. Flower essences are complimentary to all fields of healthcare and are effective in treating anxiety, panic, depression, stress, and first aid.

Massage with salts and oils to replenish the body. The mixture is massaged onto the body, the client is then covered with towels and blanket to help absorption of mixture into skin. The mixture is left on for ½ hour, the client will experience a warm flow throughout the body which shows that the body cells began their work. While waiting the therapist gives client a face and head massage, after ½ hour the therapist wipes down body with warm wet cloths, then gently pats dry. The skin is left feeling soft and velvety. The body wrap will give you an energy boost due to the high concentrated minerals in the salt mixture and will enhance blood circulation.

REFLEXOLOGY
Reflexology is a form of therapeutic massage that stimulates reflex points or nerve endings in the hands or feet. Reflexology can be used to treat specific symptoms or to enhance general health and wellbeing. Reflexology helps your body’s self-healing mechanism do its job more efficiently, it promotes better circulation to the body’s organs and stimulates them to function and eliminate waste efficiently and drain tension from the body as a whole.
Mental tension is relieved by having clearer thinking as it gets rid of mental chatter. The best part about reflexology is it is a drugless therapy; it is a deeply relaxing experience giving a feel good feeling for anyone who experiences the treatment. Depending on what health problems a client may have and how long they have had a complaint will determine how many treatments someone may need this could be between 2 -12 sessions.

AURORA THERAPY
Balance chakra’s and cleanse aura. An Aurora healing session, uses all four therapies of crystals, colour, magnets and sound. The client lies down (fully clothed) on massage table. The therapist then places magnetic healing discs onto the clients chakra areas or wherever they intuitively feel, crystals are then placed on the discs or parts of the body where needed. Each chakra is fed with a sound frequency with a turning fork. Colour is used by the therapist using visualization while the client listens to a guided meditation. A one hour journey of total relaxation and healing.

I graduated as a Homeopath, gaining my Diploma from the Bay of Plenty College of Homeopathy in 1997.
More recently in September 2005, I achieved my accreditation as a Professional Bowen Therapist and am an affiliated member of NZBTI and BTAA.
In April 2006, I completed my National Certificate in Relaxation Massage from the NZ Naturopathic College.
I am committed to continuing my education, updating my skills and keeping my finger on the pulse of natural health. I recently gained my certificate in Pohaku Hawaiian Stone Therapy Stage 1 & 2 in November 2006.
As I am growing and evolving,
